Wärtsilä Global Business Services (WGBS) provides reliable, scalable, and standardised services to support core business operations. WGBS partners with businesses to drive continuous improvements in end-to-end processes for enhanced effectiveness, quality, efficiency, and compliance.
We are looking for an Expert for our RTR Center of Expertise, Entity Close. We offer you the opportunity to work in an international and energetic environment.
The Expert, CoE, is a financial and end-to-end process-minded person with a proactive, focused, and detailed mindset. In addition, the Expert is a fact-based challenger who supports and defines ways to develop and improve processes and tools within their own area of expertise.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Responsible for SAP module(s) RTR closing processes
- Performing Record to Report activities and processes on a global level in SAP
- Leading development and optimisation-related processes and supporting the businesses in financial processes
- Support in implementation of global processes and guidelines, by actively challenging any possible deviations in the process
- Execute pre-closing and closing activities globally in responsible SAP module(s)
- Monitoring of global SAP automated closing jobs (Smart Close) are proceeding according to timetable and without errors
- Actively support pre-closing and closing activities globally in responsible SAP module(s)
- Active cooperation, communication and knowledge sharing with related end-to-end processes and internal and external stakeholders globally
- Supporting in identifying, evaluating and implementing new and innovative solutions ensuring continuous development, improvement and harmonisation in the RTR processes and tools
- Ensuring proper and updated documentation of the process flows, work splits, tasks and agreed guidelines
- Other tasks related to RTR requested by Line Manager
The main requirements in this role are:
- Bachelor or master’s level university education or equivalent in Financial Accounting
- Good understanding of SAP modules
- Flexibility and good team working skills
- Systematic and organised way of working, paying attention to details
- Automation and development-oriented mindset
- Advanced English skills and other languages are considered an advantage
- Networking, network facilitation and co-creation
- Cooperation with different external and internal stakeholders
- Minimum 3 years working experience
In addition, as an ideal candidate you:
- Have knowledge and experience in SAP, FI, CO, knowledge in other modules is seen as an advantage
- Have knowledge and experience of the Smart Close closing tool
- Have work experience in a global business services environment
