We are looking for a General Manager, Quality and Management Systems (R&D and Engineering) with a main responsibility for ensuring that research, development and engineering activities are executed under robust quality governance and aligned with regulatory and organizational standards. The preferred location for this position is Vaasa, Finland but also R&D and Engineering locations in Turku, Finland or Trieste, Italy are negotiable. We offer a possibility to flexible hybrid work. 
  
Your role and responsibilities:  
 
As a General Manager, Quality and Management Systems (R&D and Engineering) your work will include design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Quality related processes and integrated management frameworks that support innovation, product & Technology development, and compliance. 

You’ll be working as a part of energetic Quality & Management Systems team with diverse expertise.

 
Your work will focus on these responsibilities:

• Define and implement the quality and management system strategy for R&D and Engineering to ensure alignment with organizational goals
• Drive implementation of R&D and Engineering Quality vision, roadmap and continuous improvement initiatives related to Quality
• Lead and mentor a team of quality experts supporting R&D and Engineering
• Promote and establish culture of quality-by-design, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout R&D and Engineering functions
• Establish and maintain Quality Management Systems and related processes for R&D and Engineering operations
• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards impacting R&D and Engineering (e.g. ISO)
• Ensure R&D and Engineering employees are trained in relevant quality and compliance practices
   

To be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have: 
 

• M. Sc degree in Economics, Industrial Management, Engineering, or related technical field
• Experience in quality, compliance, management systems, process development
• Strong track record of leading people and implementing Quality systems and process improvements and achieving/maintaining ISO or regulatory certifications
• In-depth understanding of Quality and Continuous Improvement practises
• Proven success in applying Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement and/or quality-by-design principles
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills across technical, and business functions
