Maintenance Engineer
Maintenance Engineer (6 months), Factory Maintenance

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Maintenance Engineer with 6 months temporary contract. In this role, you will support and drive development activities related to factory maintenance, and production-related projects. The location for this position is Vaasa, Finland.
Your role and responsibilities
As a Maintenance Engineer your work will include supporting maintenance team planning (e.g. scheduling maintenance team task, make instruction to preventive maintenance, co-lead maintenance related development projects). You’ll be working as a part of Manufacturing Technology – Maintenance Department team with wide expertise of automation, project management and maintenance knowhow.
Your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Assist senior engineers with preventive and corrective maintenance planning
- Help identify root cause for faults and report solution to senior team members
- Coordinate and update maintenance team schedules, checklists, and work instructions
- Assist during equipment installation, testing, and commissioning
- Support continuous improvement activities to reduce downtime
To be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have:
- B.Sc or M.Sc level studies in engineering, such as mechanical, industrial engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge in areas of Factory maintenance (Machining, Automated systems)
- Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Knowledge in project management models and/or continuous improvement method seen as benefits (e.g. Lean manufacturing, Sig Sigma)
- Fluent written and spoken communication skills in both English and Finnish
