Component delivery (MTAC), manufacturing world-class Cylinder heads, Connecting rods, Engine blocks and proto and test parts globally for Wärtsilä. Our priorities are Safe working, high-quality parts, delivery precision and manufacturability of the parts.
 
Now we are looking for two persons for the Manufacturing Manager.
One position for Engine blocks manufacturing and One position for Connecting rod manufacturing to the team in our Component Delivery. The role is offered permanently and will be based in Vaasa, Finland. The location will be in the Sustainable Technology Hub in Vaskiluoto for engine block manufacturing and Järvikatu for Connecting rod manufacturing.
 
As a Manufacturing Manager, Delivery Component your work will focus on these responsibilities:

• Guarantee world class Safety, Quality and manufacturing in Component Delivery 
• Lead and drive the machining production to complete the work on time and meet the specified quality requirements
• Responsible for delivering component quality owner to SAP notification as well as following the costs
• Responsible PQAP for the efficiency of the work and methods
• Responsible for Internal audit of own area and process etc.
• Daily continuous improvement of the organisation
• Quality for the efficiency of the work and methods
• Control and improve safety in the working environment
• Assist in the new product introduction process (NPI)
• Training coordination for manufacturing skills
• Responsible process diagram and work instructions are up to date

The below will help you to work in this role:

• BSc in Mechanical or equivalent
• At least five years of experience in manufacturing production
• Proven experience in production quality and foreman work
• Excellent manufacturing skills
• Excellent understanding of drawings and working knowledge of part quality assurance (PQAP)
• Excellent cooperation skills
• We communicate in operation in the Finnish language and proficiency in it is essential
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal considered an advantage
