Wärtsilä Marine, Power Supply, R&D and Engineering, Testing & Validation, etsii kahta mekaanikkoa.

Mekaanikkona työskentelet Wärtsilän moottori- ja teknologiakehityksen etulinjassa toimintojemme laajentuessa. Tarjoamme sinulle mahdollisuuden päästä osaksi asiantuntevaa tiimiä, joka on omistautunut tulevaisuuden moottoritekniikan kehittämiseen ja mahdollisimman nopean irtautumisen edistämiseen fossiilisista polttoaineista. Työpaikka on vakituinen ja sijaitsee Vaasassa, Sustainable Technology Hubissamme Vaskiluodossa.

Mekaanikon keskeiset tehtävät ja vastuut:

• Testimoottoreiden komponenttien, suorituskyvyn ja toimivuuden testaus moottorilaboratoriossa sekä testimoottorin testilaitteiston ja oheisjärjestelmien operointi
• Testauksen vaatima laadukas mekaaninen asennustyö
• Testimoottoreiden ja oheisjärjestelmien huolto-, kehitys- ja muutostyöt
• Työturvallisuudesta huolehtiminen ohjeet ja säännöt huomioiden sekä työturvallisuuteen liittyvistä huomioista raportoiminen ja kehitysehdotusten tekeminen
• Erilaisten ohjaus- ja mittausohjelmien ja -työkalujen käyttö
• Testausmenetelmien ja -ympäristön kehitystyö
• Erilaiset moottori- ja teknologiakehitykseen liittyvät tehtävät

Pätevyysvaatimukset ja tarvittavat taidot:

• Tehtäviin soveltuva tekninen koulutus (ammattikoulu tai vastaava tekninen koulutus/kokemus)
• Kiinnostus moottoritekniikkaan ja sen perusteiden tuntemus; nelitahtimoottoreiden tekniikan syvempi tuntemus on eduksi
• Ohjaus- ja mittausjärjestelmien tuntemus katsotaan eduksi
• Sähkö-/automaatiojärjestelmien tuntemus katsotaan eduksi
• Teknisten piirustusten luku- ja tulkintataito
• Taito käyttää manuaalisia ja sähköisiä työkaluja
• Hyvä kyky työskennellä sekä ryhmässä että itsenäisesti myös tarvittaessa vuorotyössä
• Sujuva suomen ja/tai ruotsin kielen taito
• Työskentelemme monikulttuurisessa ympäristössä, joten englannin kielen taito katsotaan eduksi

Työtehtävät edellyttävät, että hakemamme henkilö pystyy:

• Valmistelemaan ja suorittamaan tarvittavat mittaustilanteet ja mekaaniset asennukset aikataulun mukaisesti
• Varmistamaan testaustoimintojen laadun siten, että tulokset ovat luotettavia ja vastaavat teollisuusstandardeja sekä Wärtsilän ohjeita
• Työskentelemään turvallisesti
• Toimimaan yhteistyössä niin, että tiimin työskentely on tasapuolista
• Työskentelemään tarvittaessa vuorotyössä

Wärtsilä Marine, Power Supply, R&D and Engineering, Testing & Validation is looking for two Mechanics.

As a Mechanic, you will work at the forefront of Wärtsilä's engine and technology development as our operations continue to expand. We offer you the opportunity to become part of an expert team dedicated to developing future engine technologies and advancing the fastest possible transition away from fossil fuels. The position is permanent, and based in Vaasa, Finland, at our Sustainable Technology Hub in Vaskiluoto.

As a Mechanic, you will focus on these responsibilities:

• Testing the components, performance, and functionality of test engines in the engine laboratory, as well as operating the test engine and test equipment
• High-quality mechanical installation work required for testing
• Maintenance, development, and modification work on test engines and auxiliary systems
• Ensuring occupational safety by following instructions and regulations, as well as reporting safety-related observations and making improvement suggestions
• Using various control and measurement programs and tools
• Development of testing methods and environment
• Various tasks related to engine and technology development

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

• Technical education suitable for the tasks (vocational school or equivalent technical education/relevant work experience)
• Interest in engine technology and knowledge of its fundamentals; deeper knowledge of four-stroke engine technology is considered an advantage
• Familiarity with control and measurement systems is considered an advantage
• Knowledge of electrical/automation systems is considered an advantage
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Ability to use manual and electrical tools
• Good ability to work both in a team and independently, including shift work when required
• Fluent Finnish and/or Swedish language skills
• We work in a multicultural environment, so proficiency in English is considered an advantage

The position requires that the person we are looking for is able to:

• Prepare and carry out the necessary measurement situations and mechanical installations according to schedule
• Ensure the quality of testing activities so that results are reliable and comply with industry standards as well as Wärtsilä's guidelines
• Work safely
• Collaborate in a way that ensures fair teamwork
• Work in shifts when required
