We are looking for a Mechanical (Senior) Chief Project Engineer 
with main responsibility for Mechanical projects and engineering activities in the Engine Power Plant. The preferred location for this position is Vaasa, Finland, but also Helsinki and Turku are negotiable. We offer the possibility of hybrid remote work. 
  
Your role and responsibilities:
 
As a Mechanical Chief Project Engineer /Mechanical Senior Chief Project Engineer your work will include:  

 

  • Safeguarding that mechanical works are executed according to contract specifications and design directives as a member of a project team
  • Make purchase specifications and bill of quantities as required for the project execution. Make project-specific design and design packages
  • Co-ordinate the design between sub-suppliers
  • Develop a Power Plant project mechanical solution for the client
  • Carry out sub-supplier quality- and delivery follow-up
  • Support our site team during the installation and commission phases
  • Give feedback regarding technical solutions and complaints
  • Participate in development projects
  • Support guide and mentor other junior team members

 

You’ll be working as a part of an energic global project team for the mechanical discipline in Engineering, a team with diverse expertise. We will take your individual skill level and interest into account when selecting the tasks. The focus is on constant learning.
 
Requirements for the position: 

 

  • BSc. or MSc. in Mechanical or Process Engineering
  • Being self-going, having teamwork skills, motivation to learn and grow professionally and willing to travel as well as having the ability to understand and work with diverse cultures
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical project engineering
  • Good command in English
  • Negotiation and communication skills
  • Teamwork skills
  • Previous technical skills in mechanical engineering 

 

Qualifications/to be able to succeed in the position hope that you have experience in: 
 

  • Knowledge of future fuels like Hydrogen, Ammonia, Methanol
  • Understanding of Process and Automation
  • Understanding of Fire protection& detection
  • Previous experience with team turbines and Steam systems
  • Experience of the CHP
  • French, Spanish or German language  is seen as an advantage but is not a requirement
