We are currently seeking an On-Call Trainee for Indirect Procurement in Finland. Indirect Procurement is a global strategic support function at Wärtsilä, serving all employees, functions, and businesses with their indirect purchasing needs. Indirect Procurement is responsible for negotiating new and existing contracts, as well as managing supplier relations.
Your main tasks will be to assist the Indirect Procurement team in different sourcing activities, contractual matters and supplier management. Working time is based on need and agreed on a monthly basis (max 25 hours/week).
Position information:
The location for the position is Vaasa, Finland. This position is meant for a person who is currently studying at University or University of Applied Sciences.
As an ideal candidate, you have:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. studies ongoing at the moment (Economics)
- Fluent in Finnish and English (Written and spoken)
- Outgoing personality
- Experience and/or strong interest, and possibly ongoing studies about some of the following areas:
- Supply Chain, Sourcing and Purchasing
- Knowledge in data analysis and skills in Excel, SAP is seen as a benefit
