Wärtsilä Global Business Services (WGBS) provides reliable, scalable, and standardized services to support core business operations. WGBS partners with businesses and drive continuous improvements in end-to-end processes for enhanced effectiveness, quality, efficiency, and compliance.
WGBS Invoice to Pay team is now looking for energetic and committed students to work as On-Call Trainee (0-25h/week) to strengthen the Purchase Invoices team located in Vaasa, Finland. You will be working with Wärtsilä companies around the world and supporting with the handling of purchase invoices and other related tasks.

For us to be the best match, we expect you to have a good understanding of accounting and experience from working in a customer-facing role. As an ideal candidate, you have gained experience from the purchase-to-pay process and have a degree in accounting or other business-related field. For you to succeed in this position, we hope you have a mindset for continuous improvement and are open to learning new skills, such as RPA.
What are the responsibilities?
• Handling and validating incoming purchase invoices
• Solving issues and being in contact with various Wärtsilä teams and suppliers to improve the end-to-end process
• Act as a gatekeeper to ensure compliance
• Choosing correct GL accounts and tax codes
• Continuously improving the process within own responsibility area
• Give input to robotic process automation (RPA)
• Other tasks related to monitoring and quality control
Requirements for the position:
• Currently studying Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or similar
• Systematic and organized way of working
• Self-driven and development-oriented attitude
• Good knowledge of English with other language skills considered as a benefit (e.g. Chinese, Japanese)
• The right to work in Finland, and live in Vaasa
