The Wärtsilä Customer Delivery - FGSS & Catalyst Project Purchasing team is seeking a highly motivated and result driven On-Call Trainee to join our team. The location for the position is Vaasa, Finland. As an On-Call Trainee, you can work up to 25 hours per week. The person who is selected for this role needs to be a full-time student studying for a degree in Finland.
What will you be doing?
You will play a key role in supporting project purchasing and supply chain related to Catalyst delivery projects. This role is diverse with tasks ranging from purchasing, purchasing related follow up and monitoring, purchase invoice handling, project delivery creation and project consumptions. You will experience true teamwork in a thriving business.
What can you expect from this role?
We offer a positive work environment where you will gain broad experience within the field of supply chain management. You have the possibility to work at the office or remotely 0-25 hours per week. Starting in May 2026, you will transition to a full-time summer trainee role.
Main requirements:
- You are currently a student at the University or University of Applied Sciences (e.g. Business Administration or Industrial Management) with a maximum of 50% of your studies completed
- Fluent English language skills, both oral and writte
- Systematic and organised way of working
- Self-driven with a problem-solving attitude
- Excellent team working skills
- Experience of purchasing, Incoterms and/or SAP is an advantage
