We are looking for an Operational Purchaser in the Marine Power Supply at Delivery Centre Sustainable Technology Hub. The position is crucial for securing on-time material availability and optimising the inventory level. Previous experience in purchasing or logistics in the manufacturing industry is highly appreciated.
This position is permanent and located in Vaasa, Finland. We offer the possibility of hybrid remote work.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the right amount of required material is available just on time when needed
- Be responsible for forecasting, requirement and delivery planning, ordering and order supervision for assigned component portfolio
- Operational management of the supply chain for assigned suppliers
- Manage and measure supplier quality level
- Manage document revision to supplier
- Maintain and develop material master data
- Optimise the inventory turnover
- Other tasks related to operative purchasing
Requirements:
- MSc in Engineering, Economics or similar
- Experience in purchasing or logistics in the manufacturing industry
- Good communication, teamwork and social skills
- A systematic and proactive approach to working
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong PC skills, e.g. SAP, PowerBI knowledge, advanced Excel skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Finnish, Swedish skills are seen as an advantage
- Knowledge of demand-driven material requirements planning
- Knowledge of LEAN principles is seen as an advantage, e.g. value stream mapping, kaizen, root cause analysis
- Experience in process development is seen as an advantage
