Power Systems Engineer

Wärtsilä is an innovative technology company known for being a forerunner in the Marine and Energy markets. Every day, we – Wärtsilians - put our hearts and minds into turning Wärtsilä's purpose of enabling sustainable societies through innovation in technology and services into reality. Our ultimate aim is to provide increased value to both our customers and society. New, game-changing ideas and continuous improvement have been part of our DNA since 1834. Together, we can create new business opportunities and more sustainable future that we can all be proud of.

We want to transition the world towards a decarbonised and sustainable future. By pushing the boundaries of engineering and technology, we can make it work. We are always on the lookout for future-oriented talent – want to join the ride?

Wärtsilä Energy Business is at the forefront of developing and delivering competitive products and solutions for power systems worldwide. Our scope ranges from microgrids to large interconnected grids, and from base load to the high-demand balancing market.

The power systems around the world are undergoing major transformations where inverter technologies are taking a larger share of the generation mix, which as a result are reducing inherent stabilising features from synchronous generating. Regulators and grid operators are expanding their grid codes and developing various market mechanisms to address these changes. To ensure Wärtsilä’s market position and competitiveness, we must develop, deliver and maintain solutions that comply with these evolving grid codes and market mechanisms.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Power System Engineer to join our Power Systems team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in power system analysis and grid code compliance to ensure our solutions are both impactful and compliant.
