We are currently looking for a Product Development Engineer, Engine Electrical and Automation, to join our team in Vaasa, Finland.
As a Product Development Engineer, you will:
- Lead electrical and electromechanical engineering activities, as well as produce specifications for retrofit customer delivery projects, such as engine automation upgrades and fuel conversions. The projects involve both marine installations and land-based power plants.
- Coordinate and develop electrical and electromechanical designs for product development projects, together with the electrical and mechanical designers
- Continuously review and develop existing electrical and electromechanical designs
- Communicate with project management, technical experts, service engineers and externals
- Support other departments, such as sales and project management in technical matters
- Develop the way of working and support tools used in project deliveries
We are hoping that you will:
- Have a BSc or MSc in electrical or automation engineering
- Have an interest in project-based design and development work, and are eager to gain new knowledge about power generation technologies
- Have previous experience with engines, and/or electrical/automation systems for power generation application
- Experience in electrical and/or mechanical design work is seen as an advantage
- Have Good English language skills, as the daily work requires oral and written communication with team members and people from around the world
