Product Engineer, Electrical and Automation

We are looking for a Product Engineer, Electrical, and Automation to join our Lifecycle Upgrades team. This team is responsible for developing and managing Energy Service upgrade solutions. Vaasa is the preferred location for the position, but other locations can also be considered.  


What you will be doing:


In this position, you will work closely with sales, engineering, technical experts, and the upgrades team. Your work will include product development activities, supporting our sales with technical product knowledge, and participating in product and content improvement activities. 
For us to be the best match, we expect you to have an understanding of the Electrical and Automation field and experience working with industrial E&A systems. As an ideal candidate, you have gained practical experience from product development activities and have an engineering degree from the electrical or automation field. We hope you have a genuine interest in development work and solving customer problems. 

 

As a Product Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities: 

 

  • Manage technical solutions in small engineering, product improvement and support in product development activities
  • Provide product/solution assistance to sales and customers
  • Support sales with continuously improved documentation related to way of working with products and upgrade solutions
  • Identify improvement proposals and risks and participate in planning product development activities
  • Participate in technical forums
  • Cooperate with relevant internal and external stakeholders

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: 

 

  • Leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Good communication, presentation, documentation and negotiation skills
  • Strong English language skills
  • Knowledge in Electrical and Automation systems
  • Lifecycle business understanding
  • Customer value understanding
  • Experience in development work

 

In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you have the ability to travel as required, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
