Product Technology Manager

We are now looking for a

 

Product Technology Manager

The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Vaasa, Helsinki or Turku Finland

 

What you will be doing

 

In this position, your work will include defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap. Gather, and manage, market/customer/internal requirements as well as actively engaging cross functionally to support the organization

 

As the Product Technology Manager, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Overseeing the development and implementation of technological systems and solutions that align with an organization's objectives.
  • Ensure that the technology mix support the commercial and technical requirements for the product portfolio
  • Conduct Market / Technology analyses and identification of new technology opportunities that can provide a competitive edge
  • Understand the customer needs and challenges, and how our products can support their operations.
  • Build technology requirement documents based on the business/marketing plans for new products and features.
  • Contribute content to the creation of the customer facing documentation and marketing support material.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Customer Support, and Marketing
  • Thought-Leadership to shape, promote, and own topics important for ESS solutions nd our customers.
  • Continuously update technical documentation database and external presentations in partnership with Product manager, Program Manager, Product Marketing and Sales Teams worldwide.
  • Develop deep knowledge of product strengths and weakness and provide key perspectives on decisions with the cross functional teams
  • Collaborate with key 3rd party partnerships to ensure customers receive an integrated, tuned solution that meets their needs.
  • Understand and support the sales team and channel partners. Support internal tool development,
  • Monitor regulatory and market rule changes that could affect battery energy storage technology find opportunities from these changes or mitigate impacts

 

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

 

  • Independent, self-starter with validated ability to succeed in uncertain environments and with constantly changing technology and market requirements.
  • The successful candidate will understand the competitive landscape for BESS; and be an expert on our technical solutions and how they are positioned.
  • Ten plus years of product management industry experience, prior work with BESS or renewable offerings in the energy sector is a strong plus
  • Excellent collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a matrix environment without direct managerial control.
  • Experience coordinating activities and identifying priorities for the development team.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills a must,

 

 

 

(In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 40%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.)
