Project EHS Manager

We are looking for a Project EHS Manager to join our central Energy EHSS and Management Systems team working for a better future. In this position, you will support, coach and continuously improve our EHS performance in our construction projects in Africa & Europe area.

 

Position information:

 

This is a permanent position and the preferred location for the position is in Vaasa, Finland but also other locations can be considered. 

 

Main requirements of this position:


In this position, you will support and coach our organisation in delivering projects and services safely and sustainably. Your work will include the identification of EHSS requirements, planning and supporting for their fulfilment from the early sales phase to the delivery to the customer. An important part of your work is to foster the organisation in adopting a safety culture towards a ZeroMindset. You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independence, as you will have support from experienced team members. For us to be the best match, we expect you to have an understanding of EHS management and experience from working with energy infrastructure and/or construction sites.

 

What we expect you to have:

 

As an ideal candidate, you have gained experience in the energy industry and have a technical degree in engineering. For you to succeed in the position, we hope you have a coaching and collaborative mindset to together with our stakeholders build a successful business and a great customer experience. In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 10%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.

 

Main responsibilities:

 

  • Functioning as the connection between global EHSS and area project site operations ensuring the implementation of EHSS processes, systems, tools and programs within own responsibility area.
  • Supporting sales organization on sales projects
  • Supporting project teams to fulfil EHS requirements in the delivery of projects
  • Supporting practical EHS preparations and mobilisation at construction sites
  • Participating in EHSS development projects
  • Monitor EHS performance, analyse and follow up on EHS Reporting for the Area
