We are looking for a Project EHS Manager to join our central Energy EHSS and Management Systems team working for a better future. In this position you will support, coach and continuously improve our EHS performance in our construction projects in Americas area.
The preferred location for the position is in Vaasa, Finland but also other locations can be considered.
Your role and responsibilities:
As a Project EHS Manager you will support and coach our organisation in delivering projects and services in a safe and sustainable way. Your work will include identification of EHSS requirements, planning and supporting for their fulfilment from early sales phase to the delivery to the customer. An important part of your work is to foster the organisation in adapting a safety culture towards a ZeroMindset. You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independency, as you will have the support from experienced team members.
Main responsibilities:
- Functioning as the connection between global EHSS and area project site operations ensuring the implementation of EHSS processes, systems, tools and programs within own responsibility area.
- Supporting sales organization on sales projects
- Supporting project teams to fulfil EHS requirements in the delivery projects
- Supporting in practical EHS preparations and mobilisation at construction sites
- Participating in EHSS development projects
- Monitor EHS performance, analyse and follow-up of EHS Reporting for the Area
Requirements for the position:
- Advanced knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety Management
- Minimum 5 years’ experience from working with construction sites
- Fluent English written and spoken
- Good Spanish language skills is an advantage
As an ideal candidate, you have gained experience from the energy industry and have a technical degree from engineering. For you to succeed in the position, we hope you have a coaching and collaborative mindset to together with our stakeholders build a successful business and a great customer experience. As you in this role will be supporting projects in Americas area, some virtual meetings will occasionally be held in late afternoon/early evening Finnish time. Some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 10%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
