We are looking for a Project Engineer, Mechanical with a main responsibility for Mechanical projects and engineering activities in the Engine Power Plant. The preferred location for this permanent position is Vaasa Finland, but also Helsinki and Turku are negotiable. We offer the possibility of hybrid remote work.
Your role and responsibilities:
As a Project Engineer, Mechanical your work will include:
- Safeguards that work under their own responsibility area are executed according to contract/requirements, specifications, instructions, and policies
- Support project and sales teams with project-specific Mechanical & Process design
- Carry out and coordinate assigned project activities, integration engineering, and technical correspondence with internal team members, vendors, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Create project-specific technical specifications and design requirements for purchasing purposes
- Carry out sub-supplier delivery and quality follow-ups
- Act as a stand-in for Chief Project Engineers
- Support site team during installation and commissioning
- Participate in developing and maintaining tools and work methods in own responsibility area
- To give, collect, and handle feedback regarding technical solutions and complaints
- Provide lessons learned initiatives for developing issues in own responsibility area
- The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You’ll be working as a part of an energetic global project team for the mechanical discipline in Engineering, a team with diverse expertise
Requirements for the position:
- BSc. or MSc. in Mechanical or Process Engineering
- Being self-going, motivated to learn and grow professionally, and willing to travel as well as having the ability to understand and work with diverse cultures
- Previous work experience and technical skills in the field of mechanical engineering are considered an advantage
- Good command in English
- Teamwork skills
