Project Engineer Electrical

Wärtsilä Energy is looking for a Project Engineer Electrical. This position is located in Vaasa, Finland.


The main responsibilities for this role are:
 

  • Supporting project and sales teams with project-specific Electrical & Automation design
  • Carrying out and coordinating assigned project activities, integration engineering and technical correspondence with internal team members, vendors, customers and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Creating project-specific technical specifications and design requirements for purchasing purposes
  • Carrying out sub-supplier delivery and quality follow-ups
  • Acting as a stand-in for Chief Project Engineers
  • Supporting site team during installation and commissioning

 
Development responsibilities for this role are:
 

  • Participate in developing and maintaining tools and work methods in own responsibility area
  • To give, collect and handle feedback regarding technical solutions and complaints
  • Provide lessons learned initiatives for developing issues in own responsibility area

 
For you to be able to shine in this role, we hope that you have the following experience:
 

  • BSc. or MSc. in Electrical or Automation Engineering
  • Being self-going, having teamwork skills, being motivated to learn and grow professionally
  • Being willing to travel, as well as being able to understand and work with diverse cultures
  • Working experience is seen as a benefit
  • Ability to communicate in English
