Project Manager, Catalyst Systems R&D

We are looking for a Project Manager, Catalyst Systems R&D with a main responsibility for leading activities development for emission control solutions. The preferred location for this position is Vaasa, Finland. We offer the possibility of hybrid work. 
  
What you will be doing
 

Catalyst Systems in Wärtsilä main responsibility is to develop and manage the Wärtsilä NOR (SCR) product. We have a central and exciting role in enabling the decarbonization of the marine and stationary engine industry. 

As a Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead specific development activities related to existing products but also dive deep into research and technology projects. You also will be a key resource in further developing our task and project management practices. You will take a role in managing the field validation portfolio for Catalyst Systems. Based on your profile and interests we can adjust the responsibilities with your project manager colleagues.

You’ll be working as a part of the Product Development Team in Catalyst Systems in an energetic, innovative and collaborative environment.
 
Your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Lead research and product development projects collaborating with a pool of internal and external experts
  • Develop and maintain the framework for efficient and systematic execution of projects and tasks
  • Develop and maintain our Field Follow-up portfolio management

 

To be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have: 
 

  • Experience in leading development activities
  • A technical background that enables you to work with a wide range of experts. Can be for example MSc in process, mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Systematic and organized way of working together with excitement to work with highly skilled experts with different personalities
  • Background from the marine and emission control industry will support you in your work
