Project Support Engineer

We are now looking for a 

Project Support Engineer

to join our team working for a better future. 

The position is temporary with a duration of 12 months, and the preferred location is in Vaasa (FIN), but also Trieste (ITA) is a possible location. 

What you will be doing

As Project Support Engineer, your work will focus on:

• Support and co-ordinate tasks and actions within Project Execution
• Keeping close connection with Project Engineers of different Wartsila products
• Creating project specific documentation
• Supporting in gathering input for continuous improvement initiatives
• Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of project specific documentation for the Customer and other project stakeholders
• Support in internal and external ordering processes, i.e., generate Internal Order Specifications, Purchase Order Requests and Notifications
• Co-operate with the project team and report in all aspects to the Project Engineers
• Provide technical support to customer in project execution stage and in pre-project stage when requested.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

• SAP knowledge is a plus
• Technical background engineering
• Proficient in English (written and spoken)
• Excellent communication skills
• Structured and systematic approach
• Problem solving approach
• Curiosity to learn new things 
• Good communication skills
• Teamwork and networking skills

In this role, some travel might be required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 10%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
