Senior Recovery Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Recovery Engineer with a main responsibility in of identifying, analysing, and mitigating complex disturbances within the manufacturing delivery value chain. The location for this position is Vaasa, Finland, other locations cannot be considered.
  

Your role and responsibilities  

 

As a Senior Recovery Engineer, your work will include disturbance identification and analysis, risk mitigation and response tasks, and process improvement. The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You’ll be working in the Delivery Centre – Sustainable Technology Hub organization as a part of dynamic Recovery Management team with diverse expertise.

 

 

Your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Monitor the manufacturing delivery value chain to identify potential disturbances and disruptions
  • Conduct disturbance impact analyses with relevant stakeholders to evaluate and define corrective actions
  • Respond rapidly to issues and implement agreed corrective actions
  • Lead swift resolution of issues with suppliers, manufacturers, logistics partners and other relevant stakeholders to ensure delivery schedule commitments are met
  • Identify and implement best practices, in collaboration with stakeholders, to prevent future disturbances

 

 

To be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have:

 

  • Proactive risk management mindset
  • Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain logistics, and design engineering
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Proven track record of resolving critical supply chain disruptions

  

 

Requirements for the position:

 

  • Strong problem-solving skills, courage to challenge yourself and positive mindset
  • Know-how of Wärtsilä and Delivery Centre STH systems and processes
  • Fluent spoken and written Finnish and English
  • Technical background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Technology or Engineering, or relevant experience
