Wärtsilä Marine Power Solutions RDE, Automation & Controls is looking for (senior) Software engineer, embedded controls

We are now looking for (senior) Software engineer, embedded controls who gets exited in developing control systems. We develop and maintain embedded engine control systems for all Wartsila engines using simulated and real targets. Join our team of talented professionals in Automation & Control by applying now!

Your typical day will include:

  • Design and implementation of new functionality to our engine control systems with C/C++ or Matlab/Simulink e.g. fuel injection control, charge air pressure control, combustion control, communication protocols etc.
  • Design, implementation, testing and verification of new features
  • Validating control functionalities in simulated and production engines
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting issues in production systems

Required skills:

  • Master or Bachelor degree in Automation, Process engineering, Computer Science or similar
  • Functionality development and simulation skills using Matlab/Simulink or C/C++ development skills preferably for embedded systems.
  • Knowledge in agile development practises DevOps, especially continuous integration, automated testing and continuous delivery is a plus
  • Good teamworking and communication skills are essential
  • Fluency in verbal and written English, our everyday work language is mainly English
  • Experience with the following seen as an advantage: Atlassian toolset & Git
  • Skills in data science and/or Python is a plus
