  • Performing installation audits at various land and sea-based installations.

  • Preparing service reports and travel expenses on time in accordance with expected Wärtsilä quality.

  • Participating in and contributing to improvement of new products when performing warranty activities.

  • Conforming and abiding by Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines, regulations, site procedures, and policies.

  • Actively promoting Wärtsilä products and services.

  • Ensuring customer satisfaction through performance and positive interactions with customers.

  • Continuously expanding your knowledge of the UNIC system, which will be your main focus in this role.

The following will enable you to succeed in this role:

  • BSc or MSc in Automation Engineering or relevant work experience to compensate for lack of formal education.

  • Experience working in automation focused field service roles.

  • Proven leadership qualities and decision-making skills.

  • Strong practical problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset, along with resourcefulness to adjust and adapt when faced with a challenge.

  • Passion for learning and professional growth, along with a desire to keep up with the latest innovations.

  • Safety-first mindset.

  • Proficient English and Finnish language skills, both written and spoken.

  • Highly effective technical communication skills, both written and spoken.

  • Flexibility to travel globally for approximately 150 days per year.

  • Drive for the common goal of providing our customers with the best possible service experience.

You will be at an advantage with:

  • Prior knowledge of the UNIC system or other automation systems.

  • Experience with engine installation and troubleshooting (Diesel, Dual Fuel, Gas).

What we offer:

  • Great opportunities to partake the latest Marine and Power Plant technology and innovations.

  • The chance to travel globally, experience different cultures, and see the world.

  • Excellent training for the job and along with career growth and development opportunities.

  • The chance to be part of a highly skilled team with a strong sense of community.

We at Wärtsilä believe in empowerment, ownership and taking responsibility of our work. We support each other’s growth, and co-creation is the true basis of our innovation. We have courage to see opportunities and take initiative.

We are authentic and honest, and we strongly believe in that by being your own true self you can accomplish so much more.
