We are excited to announce that we are seeking a Service Coordinator to join our skilled Field Service Operations team! The role is offered as a permanent contract and will be based in our STH office in Vaasa, Finland. Our team embraces a hybrid work model, so you’ll have the flexibility to work partially remotely.

 

 

What will you be doing?

 

As a Service Coordinator, your responsibilities will include planning and coordinating Field Service work orders, making sure they meet project timelines, specifications, and cost targets. Regular communication with customers, Service Engineers, and various stakeholders will be essential to provide support, monitor progress, and foster a collaborative environment. Through effective coordination and communication, you will drive a culture of excellence and ensure customer satisfaction.

 

 

Your responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to: 

 

  • Planning and coordinating Field Service activities, including resources, spare parts, costs, and schedules.
  • Acting as point of contact for customers throughout work orders.
  • Following up and reporting work order statuses to customers and other stakeholders.
  • Continuously updating the tools used for Field Service management and reporting.
  • Timely invoicing of work orders.
  • Closely cooperating with other departments and stakeholders to meet defined targets.
  • Ensuring that all work is executed in adherence to local requirements, site procedures, and Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines.

 

 

Essential requirements:

 

  • MSc or BSc in Mechanical Engineering or similar, or qualifications gained through experience.
  • Experience in Field Service or Service Delivery related roles.
  • Familiarity with Wärtsilä products and a solid understanding of technical terminology.
  • Strong negotiation and contractual skills.
  • Awareness of cost-effectiveness and budget considerations.
  • Proficiency in SAP, CRM systems, and M-Files, with a strong aptitude and enthusiasm for working with a variety of digital tools.
  • Fluent English language skills.
