We are looking for a Specialist, Marine Currency Hedging and Cash Management to our Marine Currency Hedging and Cash Management team. The position is permanent and the location for this position is Vaasa, Finland. We offer the possibility of hybrid remote work.
 
As a Specialist, Marine Currency Hedging and Cash Management your main responsibilities are:

 

  • Perform operative project-level currency hedging related to Marine projects
  • Mitigate foreign currency risk by identifying foreign currency exposures in commercial projects
  • Forecast and monitor incoming and outgoing project payments
  • Ensure accurate project cash flow hedging by fulfilling hedge accounting criteria according to IFRS 9
  • Ensure on-time currency hedging and hedging-related reporting according to need 
  • Support Wärtsilä Sales and Project Management in currency hedging-related matters 
  • Develop and implement tools and processes for currency hedging according to own responsibility area

 
Requirements for the position:

 

  • Commercial education (B. Sc. or M. Sc.)
  • 1-3 years working experience in finance/currency risk management
  • Good knowledge of currency hedging and foreign exchange rate risks
  • General knowledge of cash management and financial accounting in international trade 
  • Good knowledge of SAP including the PS module
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel

  • Good command of English both in writing and speaking, other languages are considered an advantage
