We are looking for a Strategic Purchaser with a main responsibility in managing and developing our supplier base to secure capacity, delivery reliability, lead time, and cost performance. The preferred location for this position is to be agreed, and we offer the possibility of hybrid work. You will be part of the Energy Supply Chain Management organisation and report to the GM, Strategic Sourcing.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Strategic Purchaser your work will include executing sourcing activities, managing supplier relationships, and aligning the supplier base with organisational goals in close cooperation with category managers, product teams, and other stakeholders. The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You’ll be working as a part of our collaborative cross-functional teams with diverse expertise.

Your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Manage and strategically develop the supplier base in your area
  • Secure supplier capacity and execute demand forecasting
  • Negotiate, create, and maintain supplier agreements (incl. SAP Outline Agreements and master data)
  • Ensure delivery reliability, competitive lead times, and cost development
  • Manage supplier allocations and slot planning activities
  • Gather and analyse supplier data; benchmark and share insights with relevant teams
  • Maintain proactive, regular communication with suppliers, including on-site visits
  • Ensure compliance with Supply Management processes, strategies, and agreements

To be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have:

  • Experience in strategic sourcing/procurement and supplier relationship management
  • Strong negotiation skills and stakeholder collaboration across functions
  • Proficiency with SAP in a purchasing context (e.g., Outline Agreements, material/supplier master data)
  • Skills in demand/capacity planning and forecasting
  • Data analysis and benchmarking capabilities (e.g., Excel/BI tools)
  • Clear communication in English; proactive and organized way of working
  • Willingness to travel for supplier visits when needed
  • Continuous improvement mindset and adherence to process compliance
