Superintendent, Connectivity Mobilisation

We are now looking for an experienced and motivated Superintendent to join our growing Connectivty Mobilisation team working for a more sustainable future through interconnected assets. The position is permanent. The preferred location for the position is in Vaasa (FI), but also Helsinki (FI) is a possible location.

 

What will you be doing

In this position, your work will include travelling at site and secure assets are cloud-connected, and perform that job timely and efficiently. Also remote support, testing and product improvement feedback is part of the day to day work. You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independency, as you will have the support from our own team.

For us to be the best match, we expect you to have understanding in networking (including routing and firewalling), bus protocols, and experience from working in the field. As an ideal candidate, you have gained experience from Field Service, on procedures and troubleshooting. For you to succeed in the position, and on top of what mentioned above, we hope you to have communication skills, resilience and especially a result-oriented attitude.

 

As Superintendent, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Perform Connectivity Mobilisation jobs in a time/cost efficient and quality manner
  • Interact with relevant stakeholders, feeding back from field to enable improvements in processes or products​​​​​​

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

 

  • College education within electrical engineering or automation or +5 years work experience in a relevant field
  • Availability to travel up to more than 180 days a year with short potential notice
  • Fluent English speaking and writing

 

It is considered an advantage to:

 

  • Have been working for Wartsila Field Service
  • Show relevant certification on being able to: plan, build and configure TCP/IP networks
  • Have knowledge on Wartsila WOIS/sWOIS, CBM, UNIC systems
