Your role and responsibilities
As a Supplier Development Engineer your work will consist of:

Managing new product introduction and leading proactive quality assurance activities for castings manufacturing and machining
-
Analysing supplier performance and capabilities, identifying development opportunities and driving impactful development actions
-
Developing and executing supplier development action plans to improve supplier performance
-
Supporting suppliers with their operational development initiatives in relation to quality, delivery and cost
-
Executing supplier audits and audit follow-up according to supplier development action plan and verifying impact
You’ll be working as a part of impactful Supplier Development team and Category team with diverse expertise.
Requirements for the position:

Strong experience of iron and aluminium casting and machining technologies and manufacturing processes

Quality management process understanding
-
Excellent communication skills
-
Strong personal drive for identifying development potential and proven skills on leading improvement projects or initiatives successfully within crossfunctional teams
-
Performance-focused mindset and capability to make an impact on increasing performance level
-
A systematic way of working and excellent problem-solving skills
-
Capability to apply lean principles and statistical process control in daily work for driving improvement
Qualifications/to be able to succeed in the position we expect you to have:
-
M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering or Economics and Business Administration, or qualified equivalent
-
Fluency in English, both verbal and written
-
Willingness to travel
-
Experience of Production Part Approval Process / Experience in quality management for example in manufacturing processes
-
Previous auditing experience or lead auditor qualification (e.g ISO 9001)
-
Strong experience with Six sigma (Six Sigma green belt or equivalent)
