Training Coordinator

We are looking for training coordinator for Wärtsilä Land and Sea Academy Training Centre in Vaasa, Finland for permanent work relationship.  

 

Our goal in Wärtsilä Land & Sea Academy (WLSA) is to provide high-quality training services for the marine and energy markets globally, both for our customers and for our internal professionals.

As training coordinator, you will work in small coordinator team located both in Turku and Vaasa and have a possibility to work with customer training from offering to closing of delivery process. You will be representing the coordination team in Vaasa and as the WLSA activities in Vaasa are being designed, you will have a possibility to influence on how things are done locally. Your home base is in new Wärtsilä Smart Technology Hub in Vaasa, where we expect to see you at least few times a week.

In this position, you will be working globally with people from different cultures. Our customers are located globally. Training coordinator will also work together with global training coordinator network.

In this job, you will have sense of accomplishment as you can see the training taking place and can for example review customer feedback. The training process is quite complicated with several tools to be managed, so you will need to have eye to details and enjoy being very structured in your work.

You will also have a possibility to promote WLSA training offering to customers and thus get some experience in training sales and marketing.

 

You will shine in this role, when you have:

 

  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work together with different kind of people, we are looking for a true team player
  • A customer service mindset, you take ownership on your tasks and if you don’t know something, you will find it out
  • Be a proactive and solution-oriented problem solver with excellent communication skills
  • Be proficient with modern tools and comfortable in incorporating new ones in your daily work
  • Enjoy detail-orientation and structured way of working as well as routine work from time to time 
  • Take care of own wellbeing and at some points work under pressure
  • Fluent at least in English and Finnish. Other language skills are an advantage
  • Have good IM skills including commonly used MS Software’s and positive attitude and willingness to learn and use new tools
  • Have suitable degree like B.Sc. and / or M.Sc. or similar type of work experience
