Field Service Mechanical Technician

We are looking for a Field Service Mechanical Technician with a main responsibility in supervising Field Service mechanical activities on 4-Stroke Marine Engines and Propulsion Systems. The location for this position is Spain.
Your role and responsibilities
As a Field Service Mechanical Technician, your work will include the following responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on mechanical systems and equipment at marine and power plant locations.
- Assist in the setup, testing, and initial operation of new mechanical systems and equipment to ensure they are installed correctly and functioning as intended.

Support the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of mechanical systems and components during scheduled overhauls to maintain optimal performance.
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on various types of 4-stroke engines, including Diesel, Gas, and Dual Fuel engines.
- Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot different types of propulsion equipment, such as Controllable Pitch Propellers (CPP), Thrusters, and waterjets.
- Be prepared to travel approximately 80% of the time to different sites to provide on-site mechanical support and services.
- Communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
Requirements for the position
- Proven experience in troubleshooting, overhauls, and commissioning such as ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, perform comprehensive overhauls, and assist in the setup and testing of new installations.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently (around 80% of the time) for field service assignments.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with colleagues and clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to collective goals and supporting team members.
- Proficiency in documenting and reporting on work performed, including detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and any issues encountered.
- Ability to interact professionally with clients, addressing their concerns and providing excellent customer service.
- Strong organizational skills to manage time effectively and perform well in high-stress situations, maintaining composure and delivering quality work.
