We are looking for a Field Service Engineer E&A working on Electrical & Automation activities for 4-stroke marine engines and propulsion control systems.‑stroke marine engines and propulsion control systems.

 

The preferred location is Valencia (Spain), but we also welcome applications from candidates in Southern Spain and the Eastern Coast (such as Cataluña, Comunidad Valenciana, Andalucía, Murcia).

 

Your role and responsibilities 

 

As a Field Service Engineer E&A your work will include:

 

  • Execute Field Service E&A activities on 4-stroke marine engines and propulsion control systems.‑stroke marine engines and propulsion control systems.
  • Perform the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and automation systems on marine vessels.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and resolve electrical and automation issues on marine engines and propulsion systems.
  • Working on-site in new installations (commissioning) and participating during overhauls.
  • Prepare detailed service reports, including findings, recommendations, and actions taken.
  • Ensure that all service activities are carried out in compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.

 

The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You'll be working as a part of the Field Service Team in Spain. You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independence, as you will have the support of our operation and technical offices.


Requirements for the position

 

  • Hands-on experience with 4-stroke engines (diesel, gas, or dual fuel) and propulsion equipment (CPP, thrusters, waterjets).
  • Proven field service background: on-site troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with speed governors, engine auxiliary systems, and power generation/distribution switchboards.
  • Experience with LNG installations.
  • Track record in troubleshooting, overhauls, and commissioning.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites in Spain and abroad up to 80% of the time.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • Enjoy collaborating in multicultural environments; helpful and team-oriented on site.
  • Safety-first mindset.
