Service Engineer Mechanic

We are looking for a Service Engineer Mechanic to carry out Field Service mechanical activities on 4-Stroke Marine Engines and Propulsion Systems. 

 

The preferred location is Valencia (Spain), but we also welcome applications from candidates in Southern Spain and the Eastern Coast (such as Cataluña, BalearesComunidad Valenciana, Andalucía, Murcia). 

 

Your role and responsibilities 

 

In this role, you will travel approximately 80% of the working time to various sites and work onsite primarily at marine and power plant installations, participating in new installations and overhauls, commissioning and startup activities, sea trials, and providing mechanical support by performing maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on mechanical systems and equipment. 

 

As a Service Engineer Mechanic you will focus on these responsibilities:  

 

  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on various types of 4-stroke engines, including diesel, gas, and dual-fuel engines. 

  • Repair and reassembly of mechanical systems and components during scheduled overhauls to maintain optimal performance. 

  • Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot different types of propulsion equipment, such as controllable-pitch propellers (CPP), thrusters, and waterjets. 

 

Requirements for the position 

 

  • Proven hands-on experience with 4-stroke engines (diesel, gas, dual-fuel), including troubleshooting, overhauls, and commissioning.  

  • Experience with propulsion systems is nice to have but not strictly needed. 

  • Accurate documentation and reporting of maintenance, repairs, and issues. 

  • Strong organization and time management; energized by tight timelines and challenges. 

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to collective goals and supporting team members. 

  • Safety-first mindset. 

  • Professional client interaction and customer service. 

  • Willing to travel frequently (about 80%) for field service. 

  • Good written and spoken English.
