About the role
We are now looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our forward-looking software engineering team. This position is hybrid, as in 4 days a week in the office, in our downtown Vancouver, Canada office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform functional testing on web applications.
- Participate in all project phases including planning, preparation, stabilization and first line of support of all the solutions.
- Cooperate with software development engineers, end users and business analysts.
- Participate in sessions for knowledge sharing, optimization and improvement of the performance.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools
- Experience in writing test plans and test cases
- Knowledge and skills we are looking for:
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Bring a creative thinking approach when it comes to complex problem-solving situations.
- Promoting quality within the organization
- Interaction with business analysts to remove the problems discovered before starting the process of implementation of software solutions
- Development of detailed test plans, user scenarios and validation procedures based on project requirements and specifications
- Installation, configuration and management of software testing platforms
- Planning and performing functional and regression tests on Web applications
- Interaction with software development engineers to troubleshoot problems discovered during the testing process
- Validation of new versions and performing Release Management Process
- Development of general and detailed testing documentation, End-User documentation, Bug Reports and Release notes
- Performing training process of the end user
- Creating UAT documentation and performing UAT process with the client
- Providing software application support
- Direct communication with the client to find out the nature of the issued problem
- Establishing the root causes of application errors, and escalating serious concerns
- Experience in automation testing using Python + Robot Framework
Nice to have:
- Experience in API testing
- Experience in GitHub Actions and Jenkins

Successful applicants must be authorized to work in Canada without current or future sponsorship.
For applicants that reside in British Columbia (BC), the annual salary wage range is 75k CAD - 90k CAD. We also offer 20 days of vacation, RRSP, and medical benefits.
The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate’s relevant education, individual skill set, level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered and consideration of internal equity.
