Customer Care Engineer

Your main responsibilities are
Customer interface & satisfaction:
1. Act as the primary contact window and customer eyes for thruster-related customer quality, technical feedback, ensuring timely response and professional communication.
2. Coordinate with internal teams to resolve customer complaints, claims, and technical queries related to thruster products.
3.Support customers during FAT and ensure customer comments or concerns are addressed and closed properly.
FAT & Inspection Support:
1. Lead customer FAT activities, including preparation, on-site support, issue clarification, and follow-up actions.
2. Ensure FAT findings, punch lists, and customer comments are accurately recorded, tracked and closed before thruster delivery.
Internal coordination & continuous improvement:
1. Introduce customer requirements, feedback, and lessons learned into internal improvement actions for engineering, production, and quality teams.
2.Drive continuous improvement by analyzing recurring customer issues and supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D / RCA).
3.Support cross‑functional cooperation with Engineering, Supplier Quality, Production, and Project Management.
Documentation & reporting:
1. Refresh FAT program regularly, prepare and review customer focus, such as inspection records, FAT reports, deviation handling and acceptance documents.
2. Maintain traceability and status tracking for open customer items and ensure on‑time closure.
You will shine in this role when you have:
Education & Technical Background:
1.Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
2.Are able to understand basic mechanical principles and functions.
Experience:
1.Experience in customer care, product quality, project quality, or technical support within marine, propulsion, or heavy‑equipment manufacturing.
2. Familiar with FAT processes, inspections, and customer acceptance requirements for marine equipment.
Technical & Professional Skills:
1. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans (ITP/ITR).
2. Basic knowledge of quality tools (RCA, 8D, corrective/preventive actions)
3. Structured and detail‑oriented approach to issue tracking and follow‑up.
Communication & Coordination:
1.Strong customer‑oriented mindset, with clear and professional communication skills.
2.Ability to work effectively across functions and cultures (customers, engineering, operation).
3. Capable of explaining technical topics clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
Language & IT Skills:
1.Good command of English (written and spoken) for customer communication and documentation.
2.Comfortable using Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and SAP systems.
