Mechanical Engineering Co-Op - American Hydro Corporation

We are currently looking for a Engineering Co-Op who will work for about 4-5 months with the Mechanical Engineering team at American Hydro, located in York, PA.  Student must be currently enrolled in a degreed undergraduate program at a Regionally Accredited college or university with at least 2 years of schooling complete.  This isn't your typical co-op, and we aren't your typical team.  Learn about an exciting industry that has a rich history in the York area and be a part of a team who is looking to bring new ideas to improve an "old-school" energy source.

We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineering Co-op Summer 2023 who will work for about 4 months with the Mechanical Engineering team at American Hydro, located in York, PA.

Ideal candidate will have experience and skills with:

  • The practice of Mechanical Engineering skills as needed to assist in project design development.  Must recognize limitation gaps in education/experience and consult freely with appropriate supervisor to efficiently complete assigned tasks while learning the job function
  • Performing data reduction and prepare tabular/graphical presentations
  • Ability to devolope proficiency in use of company design/analysis software and interpretations of the results
  • Communication skills in reporting writing and proposal development
  • Assisting in assembly of company' technical documents
  • Assisting field engineers/shop personnel to collect machine data, completing check sheets, and performing hardware inspections, index testing, etc.
