Wärtsilä, a SMART technology company, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team working for a better future.

 

The position is permanent, and the location is Fort Lauderdale, FL

 

What You Will Be Doing?

 

As a Warehouse Supervisor you will supervise daily warehouse operations and lead a team of warehouse associates to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate handling of materials. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to support smooth warehouse and supply chain operations, while promoting safety, continuous improvement, and high service levels.

 

Your Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities to ensure timely and accurate inbound and outbound operations.
  • Lead, coach, and train warehouse associates, supporting onboarding and daily performance.
  • Ensure compliance with warehouse processes, safety rules, and health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Oversee inventory control activities, including stock accuracy, cycle counts, and order fulfillment.
  • Support safe loading and unloading of trucks and containers, ensuring proper use of equipment.
  • Collaborate with other functions (transportation, planning, customer service) to optimize warehouse processes.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and operational data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, quality, and waste reduction.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping, documentation, and availability of tools and supplies.
  • Step in for the Warehouse Manager when required.

 

What You Bring?

 

Education

 

  • High school diploma or technical education in logistics, warehouse operations, or a related field.

 

Experience

 

  • Experience in warehouse or logistics operations, ideally in industrial or service environments.
  • Experience leading or coordinating daily warehouse activities.
  • Comfort working in fastpaced, handson operational settings.

 

Skills & Mindset

 

  • A strong safetyfirst mindset and ability to assess operational risks.
  • Proactive and action-oriented, with a strong focus on delivering results efficiently.

  • Handson leadership and coaching style.

  • Experience with SAP or other warehouse management systems.
